Ben & Charlotte’s wedding sneak peek
Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing the lovely Ben & Charlotte’s wedding and their reception at The Royal Marine’s Museum in Southsea. For a Winter’s day they couldn’t have had better weather…Dry and sunny with minimal wind, which Charlotte was very pleased about as she really wanted couple photos on Southsea Beach, which conveniently is just in front of The Royal Marines Museum. Originally, Charlotte was hesitant to go to the beach because of how windy it can get down on the seafront there, and it was certainly blowing a gale when we did their venue visit last month! Of course no bride wants their hair messed up on their wedding day so we thought that the best thing to fo would be to decide what to do when we arrive and if it’s windy then to forget about having photos on the beach, but luckily the weather was perfect!
Suddenly though in the evening just after their first dance, the weather took a turn for the worst and there was a huge downpour of rain! It was pretty torrential! I thought, that it would be cool to get some arty backlit shots of Ben & Charlotte out in the rain, so I asked them if they were up for it, which they were and we ended up with some awesome shots! I did feel bad for Ben though as he was trying to do his best in keeping Charlotte dry by holding the umbrella more over her than himself, resulting in him getting a bit wet on the side, but hopefully he felt it was worth it for the photos.
I just want to wish Ben and Charlotte a huge congratulations on getting married and I hope you both have an amazing honeymoon in Hawaii!
